We've been shaping spaces across Vancouver and BC since day one. Each project tells its own story—from century-old heritage buildings getting a new lease on life to modern eco-homes that actually work with nature instead of against it.

This one was a challenge we loved tackling. The clients wanted a family home that wouldn't cost a fortune to heat in winter, and honestly, who can blame 'em? We went all-in with passive solar design, triple-pane windows, and a geothermal system that's been cutting their energy bills by about 60%.
The tricky part? The site had a steep slope and some old-growth trees we weren't about to touch. So we designed around them, literally. The upper floor cantilevers over the hillside, giving killer views of the mountains while keeping the footprint small. The kids' playroom sits right next to this massive Douglas fir—it's become their favorite spot.

This 1912 warehouse sat empty for nearly a decade before we got the call. The brick facade was crumbling, the interior was a mess of questionable additions from the '70s, and don't even get me started on the asbestos situation. But underneath all that? Pure bones.
We stripped it back to the original timber framing and brick, reinforced what needed reinforcing, and turned it into mixed-use space that actually makes sense for today. Ground floor's got retail and a cafe, upper floors are creative office spaces with these massive original windows we restored. The heritage committee loved it, which doesn't happen every day.

A local tech company outgrew their downtown digs and wanted something different—not your typical glass box, but a space where people'd actually want to work. We designed this three-building campus with tons of natural light, outdoor collaboration areas, and a green roof that's become the go-to lunch spot.
The whole thing runs on a smart building system that adjusts lighting and temp based on occupancy. Sounds fancy, but it's just common sense really. Why heat empty conference rooms? The buildings are connected by these covered walkways with living walls, which look great and help with air quality. Plus, they've got bike storage for 200+ bikes because Vancouver, right?

Client bought this 1,800 sq ft condo with a terrible layout—walls everywhere, tiny kitchen, no flow whatsoever. They're both chefs, so the kitchen situation was a deal-breaker. We knocked down the wall between the kitchen and living room, opened up the whole space, and put in this custom island that's basically the heart of the place now.
The bedroom wing stayed pretty much intact, but we reconfigured the bathrooms completely. Master bath now has this walk-in shower with a rain head and body jets—a bit indulgent maybe, but they work long hours and wanted that spa feeling at home. We used a lot of natural materials, white oak and limestone mostly, to keep it calm and uncluttered.

Vancouver's laneway housing program is pretty cool, and this was our take on it. The homeowners wanted rental income but also didn't want some boring box in their backyard. We designed a compact two-story unit that's got everything you need and nothing you don't—900 sq ft but it lives way bigger.
High ceilings and big windows make the main floor feel spacious, and we tucked a loft bedroom upstairs with its own little balcony overlooking the garden. Solar panels on the roof, rainwater collection for the garden, and super-tight insulation. The tenants' utility bills are basically pocket change, which makes it easier to rent at a reasonable rate.

This 1925 Craftsman had been covered up with decades of "renovations" that basically hid all its best features. Drop ceilings covering the original fir beams, carpet over hardwood, you name it. The clients wanted to bring it back to life while making it work for a modern family.
We stripped away all the junk and found these incredible details underneath—built-in benches in the entry, original wainscoting, leaded glass windows. Restored what we could, replicated what was too far gone. Added a kitchen extension that matches the original style but with today's functionality. It's got induction cooking and a dishwasher, but you'd never guess it wasn't original.

Restaurant design's a whole different beast—you're balancing kitchen workflow, dining experience, health codes, and the owner's vision all at once. This spot's in a busy downtown location with a narrow footprint, which could've been a nightmare but actually worked in our favor.
